Mother's Pin necklace

I finally made the mother's pin necklace. It is a necklace to keep the mom's pin of all of Aaron's scouting awards. Since his banquet is Saturday I wanted to be able to wear it then. I think it turned out pretty good, but it was difficult to make.

Aaron's School Valentine Party

On the 13th, Aaron's class had a Valentine Party. So I packed Kara up in the stroller and we went to the party. I got there one minute late and they had already started the games. Since they already had parents at all the activities, Kara and I followed Aaron's group to each one. It was neat. They did a bean bag toss. Then cookie decorating.

Next was musical chairs, which Kara thought was hilarious. I think that was her favorite one.
Then they did pin the arrow on the heart.
Next was Hot Valentine, instead of Hot Potato.
It was very neat. After that they sat down at their desks and ate snacks. Kara sat next to Aaron and he shared his plate until they found another one.
It was a really cute party. That next Monday when we went to pick up Aaron after school, Kara told me she wanted to go inside again and eat chips. :)

At Church

As I was getting Kara ready this morning I had to spray her hair down. Every time I sprayed she would say "Eek" in a very quiet high pitched voice. Silly girl.
Sunday was boy scout Sunday at church. So Aaron met with the guy coordinating it and Aaron was the only one to show up in uniform before church. (during church we did see another boy in uniform) At the beginning of mass Aaron brought in the Cub Scout flag from his den and put it in the flag stand. Then later in the mass Aaron brought up the host. He did really good with both and we were very proud of him. He didn't look nervous at all. (I was always nervous when we did those things.) It was very neat and he was really excited. Next year we will try to remember the camera.

Later that day we got to play out side and Kara and Aaron and Daddy used light sabers. Very neat.

Tea Party

Kara made Aaron sit down and have a tea party with her. Poor guy. She gave him some pretend food. When he tried to eat, she hollered, "Wait! You have to pray first." So they said a short prayer and then Aaron looked at me and said, "I didn't know you have to pray even when it's pretend food!"

Yummy!

Also, a while back Aaron had all of his Lego ships out and lined up and Kara went to pick one up. He looked at her and said, "You can't touch any of this. It's for display only. Do you know what display means?"

Later, she went to look again at the ships and I told Aaron he needed to put them away so she wouldn't break them. He replied, "What can destroy this? A big giant NOTHING."

Kara is starting to talk back a bit too. I told her to do something and she said, "I'm not a baby, I'm a big girl."

Another time Andy told her no, so she started to ask me for something. I asked her what did Daddy say? She replied, "I'm talking to mama, not daddy!"
When Aaron and I were racing on the street there was a parked car in the way, so I told him to watch the car. He hollered over his shoulder, "I did. It didn't move."
