The Beach (27 May 2011)

Friday morning we went to Haleiwa Beach. It was wonderful. A very nice beach to build sand castles and play in the water. We got to play with our new camera and get some fun pictures.

Aaron forgot his sunglasses so he is squinting in the pictures, but I think he had fun anyway.

Kara loved splashing in the water with Andy! We saw a big sea turtle, a large crab and a tiny crab. Very neat!

May Day in Hawaii (4 May 2011)

May Day is a big deal here in Hawaii. The schools all have May Day performances and the parents take the day off of work to see it. They also had celebrations at the parks here on May First that I didn't find out about until later. Anyway, Aaron's school had a May Day performance. Each of the grade levels learned a different dance. Because of limited space (it was raining) the parents were only allowed in when their child was performing. It was interesting. I couldn't see much at all but Andy got a great video of Aaron. He is not as excited about performing, but he was still cute. Enjoy:
