Kara's Dance Class - November 5th

On Thursday Kara had her first dance class. It is a 30 minute ballet class for 3-6 year olds. She was so adorable. Her teacher Ms. Kate is so great with the kids. Kara had a blast. They did warm ups, and leaps and jumps and tip toes. Kara was so excited. Then she brought out a mystery box and shook it and the kids had to guess what was in there. One said a ball, the other said scarves. Kara said, "Be careful, it might be a skeleton." It was actually sponge animals and they had to be the animals which was very cute. She is going to have a parent performance on December 5th so I will try to record it. I just can't believe she is old enough for dance class.

She had her sunglasses on to look cool:

Halloween 2009

Aaron was Darth Vader and Kara was Cinderella. I thought they were both adorable.

Darth Vader looking cool!

Surprised princess

Andy and I were a super couple. He was Superman and I was Wonder Woman

Checking the candy:

Superdad and Cinderella:

We had lots of fun. We went to a friends house and went trick or treating from there. I was cold so I stayed indoors for most of the evening. The kids got a lot of candy and played lots of games, so that's neat. We are all really tired though. :D

The Pumpkin Patch October 24, 2009

We went to Aplin Farms again to pick our pumpkins this year.
First thing we did was the corn maze. We did o.k. It took us a
few tries to get out.

Feeling confused now:

Don't worry we made it out safely. Then we went to the petting barn.
Aaron got to hold a duck while Kara was petting it. They
loved making animal noises at the animals.

Then we hopped on a wagon out to the pumpkin patch.

Now I just have to get the pumpkins ready to make pie. Yummy!

Fall Festival October 24th

Saturday morning the Housing people had a festival for all the residents of Fort Rucker. It was really chilly that morning but we went anyway for something to do. We were actually surprised that it was really fun. They had a spot where you could get your picture taken. Then about 10 minutes later they printed a copy for us. Neat!

They also had a fighting arena the kids just had to try.
Here is Kara getting ready:
Aaron's fighting stance:

Kara falling over:

They had three tries to knock each other down. Aaron got Kara and then lost his balance and fell. Then he knocked her down two more times. She thought it was hilarious and was laughing the whole time. She didn't want to leave. Aaron just liked knocking his sister down.

Here is Kara at the go fish game. This one was cool. There was a magnet in the mouth and when the fishing pole magnet connected with it, the fish's tail started wiggling.

The Hay Spider:

The wagon ride:

There was also a Frisbee throw and a basketball hoop challenge. They had hot dogs and funnel cakes to eat. It was a very fun time.
