Well, yesterday was, of course, a very difficult day. We had to say goodbye to Andy. Ugg. In typical military fashion is was organized chaos. We had to drop off Andy's bags, but first we had to find the place. We drove around and found the hanger where the bags went and unloaded. We weren't the only ones searching because when we finished we had to direct a few others as well.
Then we had to move the truck and walk to the next location. The arms room. We were waiting quite a while because the guy with the keys was an HOUR late. Yes, an hour. Then a formation and they went to get their weapons.

Talking with daddy:

A bag of extra kisses:

After that another formation and then we were allowed time to eat and get to the "wind tunnel". It was not enough time to go get something or eat at the DFAC so we bought chips and cookies and ate that. Incedentally, our "picnic" as Papa called it is posted on the Brigade facebook page.

Daddy and Aaron:

Kara being silly:
We walked Andy to his bag and walked him to formation. The group had to form up and Kara was wailing through the chaplin's entire prayer. Then they walked to the buses, shaking "important" peoples hands while they went. Andy and I got a final kiss and then he was on the bus. :(
We got a post from the Commander saying they were safe and cold in Alaska and then onto their next stop.
